Well hello there. My name is Nicole. The worst blogger ever. Ok, so I took a bit of a break. I got a bit distracted with life and have become something of a social media addict...therefore blogging has taken the hit. Of course, still distracted with the aforementioned, but I have lately been motivated to get back to this blogging thing.
My goal? Mostly to blog about my love of scrapbooking. Of course, naturally, you will get some highlights of my life, but I mostly want this to be a scrapbooking-focused blog. Focused on my process, my pages and projects, my organization, my kits, my You Tube videos, my love for this amazing hobby.
One of my favorite things about scrapbooking? Nostalgia. Revisiting old memories. Hence these lovely photos that adorn the above page. Those were from high school, believe it or not. Anyone else remember the Glamour Shots? Heck, maybe they still do them, although with the plight of malls I am sure they are dwindling. But I laughed when I found these photos because of memories that surrounded them. So, embarrassing or not, I scrapped them.
And that is my mantra. If you took a photo, it is a memory you obviously want to remember or else you would not have taken it. Right? Is that too simplistic? It may seem so to my husband who gets to deal with my million scrapbook albums I have stored around the house (ok, not quite that many...but a lot...thank goodness I am creative with storage). But I scrap it all. The serious, the not so serious, the happy, the sad, the mundane, the special events... Some layouts have stories, some are just because the photo is pretty or meaningful by itself. I approach scrapbooking in ways dependent on my mood. Sometimes product based, sometimes memory based, sometimes project based. And I love it.
So with that said, bear with me as I re-figure this back out. : )
